This is not the case. To open, you open the flapover, then open the zip and its one main compartment (with a small zip pocket to the back of the bag), so in effect its a few steps to open. There is also a small zip compartment in the main area along with pockets for mobile.That said I persevered, as at this stage I was sure I would be sending back. No chance - gorgeous, The Olive green is a gorgeous colour and true to the picture. The size is deceiving. I took everything out of my bowling style handbag and it all fitted in perfectly. The leather is so soft if feels luxurious. The little charms come with the bag, come in a separate little envelope, so you can add or not. I decided not to, felt it cheapens the bag slightly and the jangling would annoy me. Overall delighted with this handbag and glad I persevered rather than send back. Well worth the money and would certainly think about buying in a different colour. So smart and so much detail too. Such a top quality item. Although I have not used it yet, not been out because of the covid19. However, I love it and cannot wait for the day to come to get some use from it. I shall also be buying more from this range. I highly recommend this product to other customers. They will not be disappointed. ### ⭐⭐ Very strange design. *by R***W on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 July 2018* When this bag arrived, I was thrilled with it! Lovely soft leather, beautiful deep burgundy colour and just the right size (I thought). However, what I didn’t realise until I opened it is that the zip opening is just behind the buckles - meaning that the bit that constitutes the flap is actually half of the bag itself. This means that the bag itself is very deep and narrow - so that (in my case) to reach the bottom of the bag, I had to insert nearly the whole of my arm! Added to which the lining is also dark red, so I couldn’t see what was inside to access anything - I had to feel around to even find the small zipped compartment. Imagine getting to the checkout in a shop and then having to go through the rigmarole of fumbling around for your purse somewhere lurking in the depths of the bag. Whoever designed this bag, I bet it wasn’t a woman! Such a shame because it appeared so perfect - and would have been ideal if the flap had been just a flap. Sadly returned it and have now ordered another Catwalk bag of a different design in my search for the perfect everyday bag.
