I followed the instructions for tightening and there were no leaks. I installed about 4 months ago and still holding perfectly. If I add a whole house filter, I will definitely purchase these again. **Q: Are they dielectric? Looks like a plastic insert separating the nut from the SS pipe?** A: The SS nut to copper or galvanized male fitting connection shorts out any possible voltage difference. However, if you have plastic plumbing involved, as with a water softener, you may have to make sure that input and output metal (copper or galvanized steel) plumbing is electrically connected together.
