HOW DO I MEASURE A DOOR CYLINDER? The size is determined by the thickness of the door and handle, many sizes are available so you need to be careful with your measurements (one size will not fit all). For accuracy remove your old cylinder to measure it. Your new cylinder should protrude by no more than 5mm from the handle back plates. Measure from the thumb turn (T) end of the cylinder to the middle of the central screw hole. Then measure from the other end to the middle of the central screw hole. Measure the overall cylinder length from end to end. The length of the cylinder should equal the sum of measurements when added together. When ordering please remember that the Thumb Turn will always be on the 'T' side (i.e. T40/40 Thumb turn, thumb turn knob will be on the 40mm side). ## Features - 40/40T (35/10/35T) - 80mm in total length, Anti-snap Protection: Sacrificial cuts and hardened steel bar - Anti-bump Resistance: Features 'V pins' on both ends to resist bumping - Anti-pick Defence: Four special anti-pick pins on each end resist picking - Anti-drill Safeguards: Protected against drilling by anti-drill pins and balls on both ends - High Security Key: Combines dimples and groove with 100,000 differs ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B018SHUCQS | | Best Sellers Rank | 306,137 in DIY & Tools ( See Top 100 in DIY & Tools ) 469 in Lock Cylinders | | Brand | Yale | | Colour | Nickel | | Control Method | Touch | | Controller Type | Mechanical knob, Push Button | | Country of Origin | China | | Customer Reviews | 4.1 4.1 out of 5 stars (20) | | Finish | Polished | | Included Components | 1 x Thumb Turn Cylinder, 1 x Screw, 3 x Keys | | Item Dimensions | 8 x 1.7 x 3.3 centimetres | | Item Type Name | Door Cylinder Lock | | Item Weight | 300 Grams | | Lock Type | Door Cylinder Lock | | Manufacturer | Yale | | Material | Brass | | Model Name | Superior | | Model Number | 4040NKDTHS-YL1 | | Number of Pieces | 1 | | Part Number | 4040NKDTHS-YL1 | | Recommended Uses For Product | Security | | Shape | Cylindrical | | Special Features | Anti Bump, Anti Snap, Anti Drill, Anti Pick | | Style | Contemporary | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Yale - **Item dimensions L x W x H:** 8 x 1.7 x 3.3 centimetres - **Lock type:** Door Cylinder Lock - **Material:** Brass - **Special feature:** Anti Bump, Anti Snap, Anti Drill, Anti Pick ## Images ![40/40T Nickel YALE Superior Thumbturn Euro Cylinder with 3 Keys / Anti Snap / Bump / Pick / Drill / Pull High Security uPVC Composite Door Barrel Profile Twist Thumb Turn Lock - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/619Yj4XcaEL.jpg) ![40/40T Nickel YALE Superior Thumbturn Euro Cylinder with 3 Keys / Anti Snap / Bump / Pick / Drill / Pull High Security uPVC Composite Door Barrel Profile Twist Thumb Turn Lock - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41dXGw7E5ML.jpg) ![40/40T Nickel YALE Superior Thumbturn Euro Cylinder with 3 Keys / Anti Snap / Bump / Pick / Drill / Pull High Security uPVC Composite Door Barrel Profile Twist Thumb Turn Lock - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51faWzvypFL.jpg) ![40/40T Nickel YALE Superior Thumbturn Euro Cylinder with 3 Keys / Anti Snap / Bump / Pick / Drill / Pull High Security uPVC Composite Door Barrel Profile Twist Thumb Turn Lock - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51fc6HY-GZL.jpg) ![40/40T Nickel YALE Superior Thumbturn Euro Cylinder with 3 Keys / Anti Snap / Bump / Pick / Drill / Pull High Security uPVC Composite Door Barrel Profile Twist Thumb Turn Lock - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51WsqR4CMcL.jpg) ## Frequently Bought Together - 40/40T Nickel YALE Superior Thumbturn Euro Cylinder with 3 Keys / Anti Snap / Bump / Pick / Drill / Pull High Security uPVC Composite Door Barrel Profile Twist Thumb Turn Lock - 50/50T Nickel YALE Superior Thumbturn Euro Cylinder with 3 Keys / Anti Snap / Bump / Pick / Drill / Pull High Security uPVC Composite Door Barrel Profile Twist Thumb Turn Lock - 45/45T Nickel YALE Superior Thumbturn Euro Cylinder with 3 Keys/Anti Snap/Bump/Pick/Drill/Pull High Security uPVC Composite Door Barrel Profile Twist Thumb Turn Lock --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/117476662-40-40t-nickel-yale-superior-thumbturn-euro-cylinder-with-3](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/117476662-40-40t-nickel-yale-superior-thumbturn-euro-cylinder-with-3) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-14*
