I think the unison just looked like one step up in quality to me. **Q: Is this ovensafe?** A: My understanding is that it is oven safe to 400 degrees. I have put my in the oven several times to finish off a dish and have not had any problems **Q: What is the size of the bottom ring? Is it 10"? which fits the burner perfect. Is it make in China?** A: Heather, the bottom slopes of course, but measuring across the flat area only, I get about 10-1/4 inches. I don't have my box any more, but the pan says Toledo, Ohio--no "Made In China" anywhere. This is a terrific pan, BTW! **Q: Does this pan work with induction?** A: Though I have not attempted to use this on an induction range, there is no reason that it should work. Induction cooking relies on the pan/pot being made of a ferrous (containing iron) material. The Calphalon UNISON line is made of aluminum, which is not a ferrous metal. Cast iron, stainless steel, etc. will be your best bets.
