I want to add a squirrel baffel and need to make sure it will fit.** A: The pole measures 3 inches around. Just bought a Audubon make baffle that is working just fine at keeping the squirrels at bay. It's an adjustable wrap around baffle. **Q: Someone mentioned adding another pole to make the feeder taller. Does anyone know where you can order one?** A: The poles screw into each other using a 21MM 1.5 thread. You will need to get a tap and die set to thread a 21MM rod in order to extend the poles. **Q: I am trying to assemble this but i cannot get the bottom pole to connect to the middle. It seems like they do not fit together. Help?** A: There is no threaded insert and the poles are the same dimension which means they do not slide into one another. Bad design. Or we are missing or have incorrect parts in our pkg. **Q: Does anyone know the max weight of a bird feeder this will hold? Been a year or two (I think a year) I wanted to wait and see how it does for a spring and summer and fall. Honestly did ok. Maybe it’s the way my ground is but the top was leaning a bit but than again it could be my yard (so take it as you want) never flip or fallen. Even when we had very strong winds stayed up!!! Also getting together is kinda tricky at first but once you get that rhythm than it’s easy. But however we choose to place it back outside for this spring and summer and fall (2022) we made it a little bit smaller And actually works pretty cool. So it’s like few ways of working this tbh. Also I got two bird feeders and flower on it right now. But however the watering dish is super easy to break. So be careful with that part. But the birds absolutely love it!! And I love watching them too! Worth the money and worth getting it together. As a autistic person it’s kinda hard for me put things together so my mom help. It’s cool you can literally have it different levels and different positions too. You would easily spend much more for much less in a retail store.--it fits together very nice, easy to assemble.--it's a great addition to any landscape.Cons:--if you expect it to hold a lot of weight, you're going to be disappointed. Like, holding plants as one of the pictures of product implies. That's irresponsible on the seller's part, there's no way this is constructed for that much weight.--the screws will rust out, but if you leave it up and out all year, it's going to rust out much quicker. take it down in the Winter. I take feeders and expensive chimes down for the season right after Thanksgiving. Not only are there few birds to enjoy it in the cold months, it looks stupid to leave that Summer stuff out. Sort of like seeing someone with Christmas lights still up in June.Additional advice from an avid bird feeder:Put the feeder at least 8 feet from any trees or branches. Squirrels can fly that far, especially the young ones.Baffles work, but they're somewhat ugly. I prefer slinkys. See pictures. They're cheap, and really fun to watch a squirrel try and run up one, guarantee the same squirrel won't try it twice.Feeder is a great value, but only if you don't expect the impossible from it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Quality varies depending upon the version received *by A***Y on Reviewed in the United States on June 23, 2020* The first bird station I received had a minor problem with one of the three main poles - one did not screw in completely leaving about a quarter inch gap between the poles. The silver threads were exposed in that quarter inch gap. I could not get just a replacement piece so Amazon sent me a replacement station. I was hoping to just swap out the defective piece so I wouldn't have to unpack the entire replacement. However, I discovered there were two different builds for the station. The replacement station's poles didn't screw together. Instead one pole fit into the other and was tightened with wingnuts. The quality of the replacement was clearly inferior. The welds look like they can easily break as some reviews describe. The arms of the replacement were skinnier so they cannot be as sturdy. The basket attachment is flimsy looking and completely different than the original. I have attached pictures comparing the two stations. In the photos the inferior replacement is shown at the bottom. It also looks like my original was powder coated but the replacement had regular shiny paint. In the end I decided I could live with the quarter inch gap between the poles because the original one is better built (I covered the gap with the basket's clamp). I am sending the replacement back to Amazon.
