It's heft yells keep just the right amount of pressure on the glass. I have little experience cutting glass but I was quickly cutting clean straight cuts and curved cuts with this tool. I find that you need to shake it like an oral thermometer to get the oil to saturate the wick when it's not in use for a period of time.
