Review: Great for kids - Great deal for little ones just getting started in field archery. My 3, 4, 6 and 8 year olds all use these arrows. As long as you're not shooting at anything too hard, these are perfect for little archery enthusiasts. I use "grown up" (custom) arrows when I am practicing with my longbow, and I initially let my kids use my arrows when they showed an interest in archery. In less than 2 weeks ALL of my custom arrows were COMPLETELY destroyed and useless (beginners, especially little ones, are twice as likely to miss the target as they are to hit it). At around $100 a pop for custom arrows, I was not about to mark any more of my arrows for destruction. After searching desertcart for a while I came across these and decided to take a chance. We have been absolutely thrilled with these arrows for the kids!! They are sturdy, so we haven't lost a single one to damage or defect yet. The tips are somewhat blunted, so they are also a little bit safer to handle and shoot than the ones I use (close parental supervision is obviously still a requirement). I've seen some negative reviews on here about these arrows and I have to say, if you're looking for arrows you can shoot into a tree, or if you're shooting in an area where your arrows are going to hit a brick wall if you miss the target, than these arrow won't last very long. If you are shooting a hunting grade professional bow with a draw weight greater than 35#, these arrows are not going to last very long...If you're silly enough to try to hunt with these arrows you will be sorely disappointed (duh). BUT, if you're looking for good sturdy arrows for kids to use for target practice while learning field archery (as the name of the sport suggests, best practiced in an open field), look no further. These arrows are awesome for the price!!! Review: Nice Arrows for the Price - I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg for some practice arrows for my 10 year old - but I'm very pleased with these. I set his target up on 2 hay bales, in front of my wooden fence. The first couple arrows went through the hay and stopped in the fence - I was able to pull all the way through, and the feathers stayed in place. Then his sisters took a turn, and they shot the fence. We put up a couple old hollow doors, and they shot through those as well ! A couple arrows ended up going all the way through the hollow doors and getting lodged in the wooden fence - we were able to push the tip back through the fence with a rock from the wrong side, pull it all the way through the hollow doors, and the feathers still stayed on. Really decent quality. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Pretty good *by J***O on September 6, 2013* These arrows are not of super high quality, they are made of plastic. I shoot them with my PSE Razorback 35lbs bow regularly. I will not say they are horrible. I will even go so far as to recommend them if you want to just screw around. So far, I have lost all but five - three I lost in grassy fields, one I lost the nock, and two split down the shaft. Most are missing at least one of the fetching vanes, which is not a huge loss(they still fly pretty well). They are able to penetrate 3/4" plywood from zero degrees with only the aluminum tip flattening out slightly. However, as time goes on a few have lost the arrowheads - they do not seem to even be glued on and will come out if and when the arrow buries itself in wood of some kind. This can be fixed easily with some superglue. A few arrow's nocks have come out, but this is fixable with superglue as well, although remember to glue the nock back on in the correct position. They will fly well enough without the arrowhead, but after a bunch of times doing this two of my arrows' shafts split down the middle and I threw them out before they shattered. All in all, good enough arrows. If you are just starting out, this is an excellent, low-cost kit. Same if you just want to see what breaks first, the arrow or the target.
