This was a Christmas gift in keeping with the theme ;) Being older and knowing a bit more, I knew about this couple and their place in Ireland & wanted to expand their horizon to show them there was surfing in ALL sorts of places and ways to decide to make a living out of it as well. They were charmed and looking forward to getting their new one as well. The style is cool. I think if you live in a colder coastal climate and love the surf lifestyle, this is dead on. However, if you're looking for a summertime escape, it's heavier food and hygge living. I do like that it's divided up by seasons and tells a photographic story of this rad oceanside cafe. Also, it's good to be aware that though the pictures and styling are amazing, this is mostly a cookbook and not so much a lifestyle/ furnishings/ decorating/ surfing book.
