Great value, easy to use, resealable. *by A***M on April 12, 2021* For the price you can't beat this. Thaw before using and add it at the end of your recipe, as it only needs to be heated. I didn't have a bunch of surimi, but it does have an interesting creamy texture, so you could just pick it out and use it seperately. I took off a star for flavor for that. Shrimp was different sizes, not all tiny. Nice mix of the components.My second shipment arrived a day early! Yay. Dry ice was still frozen and all the individual packages were well frozen. I put my bags in the freezer immediately. There are 12 reseable packages. I did purchase again and will continue at this rate.A happy accident revealed the best way to prepare the surimi. I dared the chance to eat a bag of it even tho it wasn't frozen or very cold. I didn't get sick, so hopefully the winter weather made it from spoiling.People who like seafood, like the different flavors of crab, mussels, squid, etc. We don't like it to all taste fishy. And this was very fishy. The little mussels were sandy as well, and that's even after I rinsed it all.But if none of that bothers you, this is a superb deal, I couldn't believe the amount u get for the price. For the most part, the contents are OK.However the pseudo-crab is some sort of slimy fish conglomeration that never cooks to the solid consistency that would be crab-like -- it is not even good if you just think of it a "fish".Thrown in a pot for gumbo or seafood pasta blends, the result is good . . . but not great.
