However, when it came I was surprised. The metal is hard, the teeth are sharp, straight, and the butt was square. I needed this due to a stripped M14x1.50 subframe housing. The previous owner must have blasted these bolts in. Anyway, the subframe rear pitman housing was stripped. I used this to rethread the hole. The key to this is doing it slowly. Go a couple threads in, back out a line and repeat. I used WD-40 to help the threading process. No issues getting the car back together. I'd recommend this to a friend. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It works *by T***N on June 17, 2018* Finally someone with a reasonable price for this tap, even my local stores insisted that 14x1 wasn't a thing. We only had to use it once, but the project was working on a bronze fitting to convert a quick connect fitting to one that would work with our stupid HSN proprietary fitting pressure washing connectors.
