Review: Brilliant!! - I never write reviews but I felt compelled to write one for this product. I have been remodeling my house on my own and, as you can imagine, i’ve run into problems more than things that have worked smoothly. That is especially true with the new guest bathroom vanity. Aside from the fact that the supply lines were completely wrong, replacement parts not available and the supply valves weren’t compatible (all which stumped the experts at Home Depot, Lowe’s and ACE hardware) the placement of the vanity was not the same as the one I had removed making the plumbing impossible to fit. I had resolved myself to calling a plumber but decided to see if there was a kit on desertcart I could try. I ran across this product and decided that, for less than $20.00, I would give it one last shot. The pipe was delivered the next day and within 5 minutes I had a working sink!! This is the easiest thing to use EVER! I don’t know if I would use it for anything other than a bathroom sink (it may not be robust enough to handle a kitchen sink) for my use,it is absolutely brilliant!! I did need to add the 1 1/2 inch to 1 1/4inch reducing piece but you can get those at ACE or on desertcart for $2.99. If you don’t know if you need one or not...get one anyway, they are cheap!
Review: Saved me! - What a lifesaver! I installed a new vanity top/sink combo in my basement power room and the drain from the wall was too high (because the sink came down too low) to couple with a standard trap. There was NOTHING I could do aside from some serious plumbing rework (which I could only have done because I have access to the drain from the unfinished side of the basement, otherwise FORGET IT). No food goes down this drain, it's just for washing your hands, so the non-smooth interior doesn't bother me at all. I installed this in minutes and it does not leak. Everyone who pounds their chest about how code says the interior of the pipes need to be smooth is kidding themselves if they think a smooth pipe doesn't trap gunk as well. It comes as one piece with two female 1-1/2" threaded nuts. For a bathroom sink that's got a standard 1-1/4" tailpiece, you'll need to purchase a 1-1/2" slip joint coupling, which you can find at any home improvement store. One end connects directly to the wall drain coupling and the other to the slip joint coupling. Then connect the drain to the tailpipe like you would any trap. I recommend you connect the slip joint to one end of the EasyDrain as step 1. That way you're basically installing everything as one piece and just making your drain connections.

**Q: Is this upc or csa certified/listed?**
A: There is a reason it's not up to UPC. And that reason is that it's not proven reliable. Building codes are there for a reason, and if you are a professional and you install out of code and something goes wrong like flooding a house you are in big doo doo.

**Q: Will this work with disposals?**
A: The corrugated design is more likely to trap food waste and cause stoppages when used with a disposal.

**Q: How do you connect this to a 1 1/4" tail pipe, for a bathroom sink?**
A: You need to adapt your - 1-1/4 tail piece to receive the 1-1/2.  The make a cheap plastic flanged sleeve... Any hardware store for pennys..

**Q: can either end act as a tail piece (aka looks like a lip)?**
A: Yes, both ends are identical....love the EasyDrain!

I never write reviews but I felt compelled to write one for this product. I have been remodeling my house on my own and, as you can imagine, i’ve run into problems more than things that have worked smoothly. That is especially true with the new guest bathroom vanity. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Saved me from calling a plumber!

Wow! That's all I need to say really. This product solved my month long bathroom plumbing nightmare. I had new granite counters installed and new sinks last month and decided on sinks that had center drains instead of rear drains like the old sinks I removed. The issue I had was the pipe coming out of the wall had a 45 degree elbow coming off of it and I could not get it off. I was worried I would break the PVC coming out of the wall if I tried to hard to get it off so I decided I would just get another 45 degree to turn it back toward the new drain. This ended up becoming a huge ordeal and none of the parts I bought worked which I returned to ACE Hardware. In the end, I used the expandable & flexible pipe from Amazon and it worked perfectly. I also lucked out and actually needed a female to female which this has. I did end up using a flexible tail pipe extension from ACE Hardware that this connected to and the problem was resolved. This product worked very well, however I am not sure how it will hold up. I can tell it is a little cheaper and lighter feeling but it still connected securely and held its form. I will update this review if any issues ever arise.
