The assembly instructions were easy to follow and accurate. The unit is larger than expected. I picked this model over the New PS 10 version because it didn't have quick release height connectors. 3 reasons: 1) I don't do a lot of work on bikes so the speed and convenience were not important 2) Some reviews commented on the stand height slipping with heavy weight bikes, In this case the knobs offered more feel and control compared to the cam quick release and 3) It saved money while essentially providing a similar function. In practice the stand works great. Very sturdy. The height did not slip with a 30 lb mnt bike. The bike holding clamp was able to rotate and hold the bike in any position. I could turn the crank and adjust the shifting very comfortably maintaining good stand stability. keep in mind this is the < $200 model so it will not be as rock solid as the top of the line. But for the home owner - its a good value. Also i like the use of Steel in the manufacture as it adds weight to the stand.
