Cutting them to size was pretty simple with a pair of sharp scissors and they have just enough tackiness to stay in place while you are trying to flip the heatsink back over without everything sliding around on you. After installing them I noticed my memory temperatures dropped by several degrees during heavy use so they definitely do a much better job at moving heat than the stock ones ever did.
