The theme that dominates the story is: Can the ultimate betrayal be forgiven? With the rest of the world maybe with the Battaglia clan a hell no! The brotherhood between Gio, Lorenzo, Domi, and Carlo is irrevocably shattered due to betrayal, guilt, and mistrust. What is interesting in this novel is that we see the changes Gio and Mirabellas have gone through since the kidnapping. Anxiety, stress, mistrust, love, possessiveness, jealousy, and insanity the couple goes through that and more and yet they always stay strong together no matter the circumstances. Gio in this book is more calculating and a bit more rational in this novel the coup against the Benecias and Isabella was genius but what was most rewarding was seeing Mira's change from gilded bird to possessive lioness. Gio is definitely rubbing off on Mira's personality. Although probably the most hated couple amongst the readers was Marietta & Lorenzo's lies have come to light with the truth shattering their happy ever after it was human to see the lengths both would go to ensure their happiness even though it cost the family. The love triangle between Armando, Catalina, & Domi brings forth the end of Catalina's days reigning as the "little princess." It was refreshing to see Carlo find someone but I'm still hoping he finds a woman who can love him for him. Not Shae nor Adara! In conclusion I can't wait for Bella Mafia I really hope it comes out next month as scheduled! Again when Ms Mynx writes a book it is the bomb! ### ⭐⭐ What a hot mess! *by R***L on Reviewed in the United States on October 17, 2016* I am such a fan of Mira and Gio; however, I do not like the way Gio was depicted in this book. Is necessary for him to use killing as his only method for solving problems? He went to Harvard Law School for goodness sake, why can't he use his wits to solve his problems? Gio is emotionally unstable and he is dragging his whole family down with his emotional reactions to everything. Mira is without a doubt his weakness. The whole crime worlds knows it. If they want to take Gio down, all they have to do is kill Mira. He has to get stronger and smarter. I don't like the new potential love interest in Adara for Carlo. If the family ever finds out who she is then once again it will not end well for Carlo. Lorenzo was actually more likeable in this book. He showed more of a human side to him. Mira needs to get her head out of the sand. Her husband is a serial killer and she cannot keep turning a blind eye to his ways. If I was her, I would ask Armando to help her escape with the kids and try to raise them with a sense of normalcy. Forget about the outside enemies, this family with its lies, and deception is their own worst enemy. I have read every book in this series and the most recent two have been crap. I will wait for the next book. Hopefully, that one will be better, but I seriously have my doubts. I don't know what the authors aim was, but whatever she was trying to hit, she missed her target. Giovanni is a raging lunatic, Mirabella is weak and pampered. If the aim was for her to grow a pair and actually become the Donna she needs to be in the next book. Well, I cannot imagine that happening. She's too weak to be anything other than Mirabella, pampered fashion designer. Catalina is too immature and impulsive to make any desisions. Dominic is too emotional to be anyone's right hand. Marietta, I'm so over her bipolar butt. She and Lorenzo are truly the weakest links. She's too unstable to be any good to anybody and she's pregnant. She didn't deserve the love of her weak sister, Carlo, or Shae. She's selfish and spoiled. If Lorenzo and Marietta don't make it out of the next book alive, those characters would have lived three books too many. The best characters are the supporting cast, Umberto, Carlo, Nico, and Renaldo. I am amazed that I have actually given this author such a poor review, not once but twice. I normally love anything Sienna writes but OMG these last two books have been crap. I'm gonna give the next book a chance but if it sucks half as much as this one aND previous one, I'm done with this series. I do not recommend spending money on this book or book 5.5 in the series. If you can get it dor free, please do, but if you have to pay for them, please don't spend more than .99 cents for both books, and that's together, not .99 cents per book. The only reason this book got three stars is bc things got interesting after Giovanni was shot. I really can't tell you too much about this book other than it SUCKED, MAJORLY, bc I skipped so many chapters. This book felt rushed. Like there was little thought put into it. I hate how weak Mirabella is and how unstable Giovanni is. How are they supposed to be believable as the Head Bosses In Charge if they always fall apart and Mirabella lives in a bubble. I'm gonna stop now bc I could seriously bash this book and then continue to kill it. However, since I am gonna buy the next one in the series. I will save the rest of my rant for the next book; I have a feeling it's going to SUCK as well. I am so disappointed. I feel like one of my favorite shows has come to an end and the series finale was a waste of time and effort. Dang it. I really hated this book 😭😔😠. Disappointed doesn't even begin to describe my feelings about this book. The author went down the rabbit hole and got stuck in not so wonderland and this book was the result of that.
