Case Logic products are manufactured in our Vietnam production facility.

**Q: is there any smell - Ok. I DID buy this product - good choice.  The smell on the outside was soon gone (a day or two in the sun).  The smell on the inside took about a week or more to go away but could have barely been noticed be most people from any more than a few inches away from one's nose.  That said, this is a fa…**
A: I do get a kind of plastic smell from mine, but I keep it in a closed desk drawer when not in use.  The odor is noticeable at close range (1 foot or less) but not very strong.  I suspect that if left out in the open the smell would dissipate.  When I've had it out for days (like on a trip), the smell is much less.

**Q: where do you put the mouse and cable**
A: There's not a pocket for a mouse and cable. This case is strictly for laptops only.

**Q: Is this water resistant?**
A: I would say YES to water resistant but NO to waterproof.
