It does not say water like the ingredients listed on Amazon. Same item?** A: We have canned quite a bit of salmon over the years. One half teaspoon of salt for a pint size jar is all that should go with the salmon. No water. As we have gotten older, less in our house hold, we have purchased the Redhead Wild Sockeye. It is tops. By the way, if you are not from the west coast, Ivars Salmon house in Seattle used to have a menu item that included the four major species of salmon. A great way to compare. Only average taste for the Pink (Humpy) followed by the Silver, great taste, King (Chinook) greater taste and in my opinion the Sockeye the best. When we lived on Whidbey Island we caught a ton of Pinks (Humpies), Silvers (Coho), and some Kings (Chinooks) when in season. Never caught a Sockeye, but had a source in Bellingham who provided me all that I could use. Canned them all. Sockeye folks, is the tastiest. And Redhead was right up with our home canning. **Q: Does this can have bones and skin** A: yes, it does have minimal bones and very little skin, but I like it like that because the bones crumbles and breaks apart and you can't tell it and it is also a good provider of calcium **Q: Is this skinless, boneless? If not, how does one remove the skin and bone?** A: It contains skin and bones. It's not meant to be removed, just eat it as is. The skin is a great source of omega 3 fatty acids and the soft, digestible bones are rich in calcium. I tried this one as a replacement. The contents of the first can I opened was a little bit less ‘solid’ than I’m used to, like something had mashed it slightly. But it doesn’t matter to me since I mash it all up anyway to make patties.
