Why on earth would the stop making a usable old time product that many adored beats me. So while i was researching on why this product became discontinued i found another product that claims it is a replacement to Cushion grip. It's called Comfort Lining thermoplastic denture adhesive, i decided to order from their website because $30.00 a tube is was cheaper than $200.00 plus shipping for Cushion grip. From my results and my husbands we received the Comfort Lining package within 3 days from the order that we placed and tried it. To our surprise this Comfort Lining is damn near the same thing as Cushion grip used to be, I am wondering if the same company that made Cushion grip just changed names and packaging for this Comfort Lining thermoplastic adhesive? There are some differences about the two products, Cushion grip was a tad bit thinner and Comfort Lining is somewhat thicker (padded) It only seems to last me for 6 days my husband has been wearing his Comfort Lining for 9 days now. Thinking that because i do drink hot coffee 6 times a day and hot tea might have a damper in why it does't last as long for myself. I did also notice if it's heated longer in the hot water it tends to give you more of a open time to work with, i heated my Comfort Lining for 10 minutes in really hot water and it came out as a thinner pliable ball if it's not heated properly it will feel more like a gummy bear candy and not seem to adhere as well to my denture, but still pliable. Comfort Lining tends to be really sticky when it's heated then as it cools down it will firm up to a soft smooth thermoplastic with padding. There is absolutely no smell or taste and noted that my husband sat his dentures after applying the Comfort Lining in the freezer for 30 minutes helps it to firm quickly and maybe that is why his Comfort Lining stays on so long. I advise anyone that loved Cushion grip to try this new product as it was a blessing to have found their website when we were in need of something asap! I wouldn't recommend any dental adhesive for that. And the breathright strips have a strong adhesive and will cause you pet a great deal of pain when they are removed and are liable to take the dog's pelt with them when you take them off. **Q: How do you get the gummy residue out of your mouth when you remove your dentures?** A: I bought this Fixodent for my Dad. He's in a VA nursing home, and the nurses use dry gauze to get the gunk out of his mouth and off the dentures when they clean them.
