Review: Best jiu jitsu finger tape I've tried - I used this tape for jiu jitsu sparring. I've tried two brands, Hampton Adams and Bighorn Athletics. I'm finding I like the Hampton Adams one better. The Bighorn Athletics one feels like it rips the peach fuzz off my skin and also leaves a bit of adhesive behind. It also frays along the edges. The Hampton Adams one stays in place well, does not fray, doesn't cause any pain when peeling off, and doesn't leave adhesive behind. I also put a roll of the Hampton Adams through the washing machine by accident (it was in my pocket) and it still worked fine after going through the wash.

This tape does the JOB, man. It's sticky and strong, and it was easy to wrap around my fingers. I didn't try to tear it because it felt strong, so I just used scissors. The tape provided me far more support than I would have imagined, but it didn't keep me from flexing my digits enough to make saves. I ordered one 8-pack box to see if I liked it well enough, and after playing my first game all taped up, I literally came home and ordered three more boxes. I'll never play without securing my joints again. Can't recommend highly enough.

A: No idea but holds up good bowling and playing golf with very sweaty hands.

**Q: Can this be used on fingers to help prevent sharp knitting needletips cutting fingers?**
A: I’m not certain, but I would say Yes, as long as you wrap enough of it around the fingers being used.

**Q: Could this be used to tape up socks/shinguards for soccer?**
A: I guess so, but I would think that regular sized athletic tape would be a better option.  This is very narrow, perfect for wrapping fingers and toes.

This is really good tape. I do jiu jitsu and have used this tape on both my fingers and toes. The adhesive holds well and provides the support I need. It doesn't leave a residue either. I'd imagine that this tape would be really great for climbers too.
