**Q: Does this kit go bad? I want to get it now, but wait until Christmas to give it to my nephew.**
A: Will not go bad, nothing alive is in this kit, good for beginer cricket breeding but in my opinion and experience is you will have way better luck using a plastic tote and a container with potting soil.
