Nice hardbound book with very colorful pages.The prompts are good and cover some thoughtful areas that are great to record and share.The prompt pages all begin with "I LOVE YOU BECAUSE ..." Then are split into three sections to finish the phrase. For example, "I love you because ... you have fun doing ... one of the best times we've had together was ... I really enjoy doing __________ with you."The illustrations are fun. That is ... IF you like this particular style of illustration.I am not a fan of the illustrations. So I am not thrilled with the book. And certainly not thrilled with HOW MANY there are.I did check the book online and viewed as much as I could prior to purchasing it, but the online view does not give enough of a sample to make a completely informed decision. I don't like the illustrations. I can handle one or two and even think a few are cute ... but in excess, it is just not what I would purchase. And you're really purchasing an art book. Not a journal.I REALLY DON'T LIKE the fact that the pictures comprise HALF the book! Every other page has a full-page illustration with some sweet, romantic saying. You've got two faceless figures standing on a stack of balls -- "We balance each other well." OR two figures snuggled in a hammock -- "I love getting lost with you." OR a big signpost with signs going every which direction -- "You always point me in the right direction."The pictures are cute enough and the sayings are relevant enough, but I wasn't looking for a cute SAYINGS book. I was looking for a journal.It has 116 pages ... with title pages and section markers, that's less than 58 pages to actually write on!There are just too many pictures and sayings! And this isn't exactly what I was looking for when I was searching for a journal.It is also NOT a history/record journal. Meaning, it doesn't ask when you met or why you fell in love or what your first date was or any such historical moments. It does not chronicle your time together. At least not exactly. In a roundabout way it does touch on some of that, but it is really just what the title says, a list of reasons "I love you." So it does prompt certain memories like "I love you because ... we've traveled to ... " OR "I love you because ... your kisses are ... the best kiss we had is ..." etc.These prompts do end up covering some of your experiences together, but most of the book prompts other things like "I love you because ... your favorite pastime is ..." OR "I love you because ... your favorite types of foods are ... " OR 'I love you because ... you can always surprise me by ... " OR "I love you because ... we can always agree on ..." etc.As an "I LOVE YOU BECAUSE" book ... this is great! The book is attractive and the prompts are pretty relevant and good. I didn't go through the whole book because it was more of the same, but they were good. It'd all be good things to have written down for the love of your life.HOWEVER most of the pictures need to be eliminated, since they just fill space and almost nobody is going to go through the book once or twice or three times for the pictures!! The pictures are just filler pages.In addition ... IT COSTS TOO MUCH!!! FAR TOO EXPENSIVE for a journal! This costs a whopping $22.95! For that price, you'd be better off just making your own cute "I love you because ..." book with your own nice paper and a fun cheap binder and your own reasons for loving the person pulled from your own head! This is far too expensive for the content! If the cost is driven by the artwork, then only lovers of this artist will find the value. I did not like the art. I would not buy a sayings book with these sayings or these illustrations! I certainly do not want to pay for them in a journal!!Another point to note ... this is really just another product that will appeal to men more than women. Men likely won't purchase it at all, will probably get tired of filling it out, and most likely won't find the value in receiving it! I highly doubt they will spend the time reading the sayings that make up half the book! So either way ... it isn't a really great purchase unless men are willing to spend the time to surprise their wives.And even then ... the book is too much picture and not enough journal and costs too much! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Well made, Beautiful Pictures. *by N***B on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on February 2, 2016* I read a ton of reviews on other products similar to this one and I am glad I went with this book over the others.It is cute, has nice pictures on every other page, it has nice prompts to help you write what makes your significant other special to you, and it isn't overly repetitive or mushy.Oh, and it was in no way sexual, so I liked that it is something my children can read later, should they ever want to.Husband loved reading it; it brought a tear to his eye.I was able to finish it in an afternoon.Quality was/is very good.
