The teeth and pivot area tend to wear out after about 6,000 or so filters, so I buy a new one for each shop every 2 or 3 years. **Q: can this be used on oil filler cap thats stuck ?** A: Yes, thats the type of thing it is great for. I’ve even used it to pull and tighten a chain link fence . **Q: Would this work to remove RO membrane housing 3 " cap?** A: By RO I’m guessing you mean reverse osmosis? I don’t know the torque on that fitting but it would fit a 3 inch diameter fitting. It is good for torques found on oil filters and food jars. **Q: does this work on lawnmowers?** A: Hi, it depends on the real situation. You can check the diameter of the filter and if the using room is enough for our oil filter pliers.
