## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can this plane operate adequately on a 2s battery?**
A: The supplied 30A ESC will handle a 2S, 3S or 4S LiPO battery. In order to achieve the proper Center of Gravity, I found that a 2200mAhr 3S LiPo needs to be placed fully forward in the nose so a smaller (2S) battery may not be heavy enough.  The plane flies with plenty of power  in winds up to 20mph with the 3S battery. A 2S battery will probably give you about half the power and will provide enough power for gentle flying.

**Q: does it have ailerons?**
A: Yes, it certainly does.  The glider turns by deflecting the ailerons on the wing. The Bixler comes with the ailerons attached to the wing and with the servos already mounted.

**Q: where is cg on this plane**
A: Should be two circular bumps on the underside of the wing about one quarter of the chord length from the leading edge. You’ll have to feel around for them or spot them visually. Once you do, I recommend marking them with a sharpie or something so they’re easier to find in the future. In my experience I’ve always had to either put the battery as far forward as it will go or add a little bag of lead fishing weights as ballast to get it to balance right...

**Q: can i use a Spektrum DX5e transmitter with this plane's current stock parts?**
A: The Bixler 1.1 does not come with a  stock part receiver. The stock part is the ESC and that responds to Spektrum DX  systems well. The servos are stock parts but not a DX  problem.
