The image on Amazon looks cool, but when you put a light in there, it lights up and looks more pink. See photos. Installation was "easy." I see a lot of frustrated reviews, but search YouTube for help and you'll get it. Took me a minute to figure out how to put it together, but once you get going, it's not bad...with the right video. Love it, just wish we had known about the lit color difference. But still love it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very Cool Shade *by S***X on March 15, 2018* First off, definitely use the youtube instructions! They make it so much easier!! Yes, you will start watching them fitting parts into place at warp speed and pausing and try to duplicate it yourself and then stop and say, "gosh, how did I ever learn to read when I can barely follow these explicit instructions? I really am an idiot." Yes, you might be, I'm pretty sure I am and yet I was still able to complete it despite great consternation and gnashing of teeth. The purpose of my purchase was to replace the builder grade bowl light fixture in my closet because the opaque coating started cracking and looked trashy. I wanted to update to something that would still let a lot of light out for the closet but wouldn't be so boring or crack again. I looked for a new fixture but there was nothing I really liked so I decided to think outside the box and just replace the shade but didn't want it to be too expensive if I decided I was actually crazy to try to do something unique and admit defeat. I made the oblong shape first but it was too big and looked like a sideways beehive zeppelin which made no sense on my ceiling as well as showed too much of the light fixture underneath. I then took it apart and switched to the basic circular design shown in the ad. This worked really well, I just took out one or two of the plastic shapes to fit it over the bulb. Attaching it to the existing fixture took a little MacGyvering with paper clips and fishing line but I really just needed to see it up there to figure out if I liked it and whether it worked or not. I was happy with the change, it adds a little whimsy, the white lets out plenty of light and the plastic has no issue with the 100 watt LED bulb I am using in the fixture. Now I have a very bright, less trashy closet; it solved my issue for cheap and gave me a sense of accomplishment. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful and inexpensive lighting! *by N***A on October 15, 2018* Years ago I got my kids these lights custom ordered for my kids for Christmas. They were about $50 a piece but they were so cool and I had not seen anything like them before. 6 years later they were still awesome and had not even had to change the light bulb! We were changing our daughters room and the bright colored lamp we originally had was not going to match. I was really going to be sad to take it down! I found this kit and thought surely I could put this together myself! I did not need to purchase the actual light kit since I still had the original. I ordered the white and let me tell you, it is beautiful! It looks even better than the bright colored one that we had. Very happy to find this lamp shade for $10 and after a few minutes of fiddling with it, I actually put it together!
