BUT.... I look for people to actually tell me about their body shape and size so I can make a decision for myself.Let me start by saying that these jeans are THE BEST!!!! So here is the deal.I read the reviews and decided that because so many had said they run small I would order a 1X. Except for a couple of the jeans that did not have them in a 1X but only an XL, but I loved them and want a good jean that is COMFORTABLE, so I thought I would try them. The 1X swam on me. The XL fit like a dream. I expected to send them back.I am 5'3" and weigh 205. GASP! I have long lost my girlish figure and .... waist. So I have had a terrible time finding jeans that are not too tight ie: wont zip up if they actually go to my waist. If they do zip they are not tight fitting on my thighs and butt. I may be a bigger gal, but I don't want to look frumpy and grandma. I still like a little sexy, thick look with heels. Low waist jeans work, but a skimming top looks terrible because it indents one of the tummy rolls. Sigh...... Who wants to wear over sized sweaters all the time. Or big shapeless tops? Not me.So, on to the Hue. They fit tight and sexy through the thighs and the butt. They can be worn casual with a pair of tennis shoes or dressed up with a pair of heels. The waist comes up and over my tummy smoothing the bumps and bulges. (Including that nasty mommy older age apron that I loath!) I could actually wear a french tuck with these jeans. It smooths that much. The waist is so comfortable. If you have a small waist they would hug there as well because of the stretch.The length is right to my ankle which is nice because I am a short girl.The denim is soft and extremely comfortable.I would say that they are very true to size for my body. First thing you need to know is you can have 5 pairs of the same pant, same size and color and they will all fit differently. My first pair was leggings but even in the short length they were too long but I kept them to use my courtesy credit. They're cute but have to be cuffed and it looks sort of odd. Anyway, these were in there. Skimmers are supposed to be calf length-ish. I'm 5'1 3/4 and these are the perfect length for ankle pants. The hems are unhemmed so they're casual and there's some design I can't figure out. The first pair I got was HUGE! so I exchanged for another pair (the pair in Prime fit great but you can't use promos with Prime wardrobe) so I exchanged them for another pair. These fit much better, they do shrink some so that is good. And they are comfy. I found the waist to be a bit big but I have that problem with most things. I got the washed because they were on sale and just bought the Violetta because I had some amazon points. These are really comfy. I can't say they are better than Faded Glory which was my go to but they are discontinued so time to find a new brand. Oh and each style is cut different and fits different. I did get the white capris with the floral pattern and those fit great. and totally cute. So when you find a pair that fits you'll love them but it's a process, and these are folded into quarters and hung on a little hanger. I wear and XL in Target and Daily Ritual leggings for reference. The XL Hue jeggings fit. I’m 5’4” and they fit perfectly right above my ankle. I love the little details at the ankle and the wash of these jeggings. The material is a bit stiff when I tried on. Hoping it softens in the wash and after a few wears. Passed the bend over test and I’d categorize them as mid rise. They fit comfortably over my stomach but I wish they were an inch higher in the back. But I have a shelf for a butt so that’s probably why πŸ˜‚ I’m on track to lose a pants size by the fall so I think they will be perfect then as a solid 14 instead of a 14/16. And I’m learning how to use my sewing machine so I’ll be able to alter and get my monies worth later on.
