Review: Battery operated, worth the price - Remember, this lamp requires 3 AAA batteries. The USB does not charge up the lamp. This was a great little lamp to have on our trip to Europe. Didn’t end up using it on the plane trip. However we used this everywhere night at multiple B&Bs as a night light. All the B&Bs we stayed at had to be at least 100 years old…the floors and stairs were uneven sloped and had different levels of flooring. I attached this light on beds, side tables and even on a pull chain in the bathroom…it was so versatile and helped a lot. It was the last thing I purchased for the trip and one of the most used thing we used. The batteries lasted for the whole two week trip using it every night all night.

**Q: How do I get a charging cord?**
A: Thanks for your question on book light! This clip light is NOT rechargeable, but it come with usb cable and pls note the light will not light up unless it is connected to the power bank/laptop or to the 5V/0.5A AC adapter/USB charger(NOT included, you need to purchase it separately. )

**Q: How long is the neck from base to tip of light?**
A: 9.5" from the base of the flexible neck to the far end of the light structure

**Q: What is the life span of the LED lights?**
A: I have been using this light for about 3 months now between 2 - 4 hours a week and it is still using the orignal AA batteries. I can tell the brightness is starting to dim, but still very managable.

**Q: I bought this product because the description says it has 3 color temps and is dimmable. I can't figure out how to dim the brightness. How to do that?**
A: When you press the on button once the three bright leds come on, press a second time and the two warm ,softer led lights come on, and pressing a third time all the lights come on.  So  it is dimmable in the sense that the two leds on or the three ledson are less bright than all five leds on.  That's the only thing I can figure, because there is no setting there for dimming the lights.

Remember, this lamp requires 3 AAA batteries. The USB does not charge up the lamp. This was a great little lamp to have on our trip to Europe. Didn’t end up using it on the plane trip. However we used this everywhere night at multiple B&Bs as a night light. All the B&Bs we stayed at had to be at least 100 years old…the floors and stairs were uneven sloped and had different levels of flooring. I attached this light on beds, side tables and even on a pull chain in the bathroom…it was so versatile and helped a lot. It was the last thing I purchased for the trip and one of the most used thing we used. The batteries lasted for the whole two week trip using it every night all night.

I use this book light without batteries in it, plugged into a bedside USB outlet. I really like its light weight and brightness. Ways to cost-reduce, simplify, and make this device more effective: get rid of the different colors and have only the bright white output, eliminate the battery case entirely to reduce size and weight, and make the power cord just a little longer. Still, this is a good product, as is.
