Solimo is the house brand for Amazon, They are then manufactured by Personna. Personna is owned by Edgewell who own Shick, Personna is their private label group. They have plants based all over the world so it is hard to nail down where one is manufactured. I've been very happy with that product. However, the cost of blade refills continues to climb..... So I went looking for an alternative. These are much more affordable. They do a lot well. They definitely 'do the job'. HOWEVER, the Gillette Proglide blades are sharper, more efficient, and the handle allows more motion at the razor head. So, if you are on a budget and want something good, you'll be happy. If you are a fellow Gillette Proglide user, you will likely still be reaching for your Proglide unless you're on a tight budget. If so, these will do just fine, they are just a step below. The refill cost difference is nearly $30.
