Crafted from solid zamak, it offers robust weather resistance and multiple mounting options, fitting doors 35-50mm thick. This elegant front door accessory not only alerts you to visitors with a loud knock but also enhances security by allowing clear identification through its wide-angle spyhole. ## Description The XFORT door knocker with door viewer is a simple yet elegant feature of front door furniture. As well as providing a practical means of alerting those inside the house or flat of the presence of people outside, it provides a stylish visual addition to the front door. This is due to its prominent, classic design which still maintains a modern touch. The robust, solid design ensures its durability throughout all weather conditions, making it a valuable addition for any front door. This is a decorative, ornamental door knocker in a traditional Victorian urn style. It uses a simple swivel bar mechanism attached to the door knocker. It is lifted by hand and then strikes the knocker to produce the loud knocking noise, alerting those within the house/flat of your presence. Designed for effectiveness, and built to last, these door knockers add class and style to any front door as they are universally appealing and aesthetically pleasing. Please refer to the images for complete dimensions of this front door urn knocker. Review: Comes with plenty of fitting options! - This is a good quality if fairly lightweight knocker. Based on previous reviews, I wasn't sure what the fitting options would actually be but was pleasantly surprised to find there are plenty. You can simply stick the knocker onto the door (after drilling a hole for the door viewer) using the sculptured weatherproof self-adhesive pad already on the item or attach a plastic mounting plate (which the knocker then slides on to from above) to the door with the two screws provided or the self-adhesive pad it has on it or drill two holes through the door and use the long nylon bolts cut down to a suitable length with the chrome nuts provided. Given the product isn't heavy and the door viewer effectively acts as a clamp that would stop the knocker from falling off in the unlikely event that the self adhesive pad failed, I'd recommend just sticking it in place having first put a small piece of masking tape where the top and the bottom of the knocker need to be and then marking the centre point on each piece of tape so that, when you stick the knocker on to the door, you get it dead centre first time as you only get one chance if you use the self adhesive method. All in all, very happy with my purchase. It looks good against my newly glossed black door and whilst not really a premium product, it isn't being sold at a premium price so I do feel it is good value.
