I found this unpleasant and started taking Frunutta Vitamin D3 - So easy, one a day, melts on my tongue no waiting to have my morning coffee and my blood work reflects a solid healthy level now vor my Viatmin D. I also take Frunutta B12 and have taken their Zinc and C during the Coronavirus epidemic. This product is really outstanding. I buy them as gifts. I wish more people were aware of the ease and positive aspects of Frunuttta.Victoria ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy To Take, Preferred Type of D3, Made In USA-Effective As Confirmed By Blood Test (Updated) *by R***N on June 11, 2020* Frunutta Vitamin D3 has 20 mcg (1000 IU) of D3 as cholecalciferol per each dissolving tablet. I like these tablets much better than swallowing pills or taking chewable gummies. I can take these any time as no water is needed and they simply dissolve under my tongue in seconds. These are easy to keep up on like gummies, but without getting the extra sugar and calories. These tablets have a pleasant taste, no extra chemicals or fillers and only have added lactose (from milk) and acacia gum.Dr. Weil and other experts recommend 2000 IUs of D3 a day as cholecalciferol, generally considered a superior form of Vitamin D to D2 ergocalciferol. I‘ll take two Frunutta tablets a day for 2000 IUs (500% of the DV) as a maintenance dose, but have been taking a higher dose as a blood test showed I’m very deficient and a higher dose is recommended by my doctor. Vitamin D can be toxic in high doses and Mayo Clinic recommends a less than a 2000 IU dose but considers up to 2000 IUs daily safe.This isn’t a vegan supplement because cholecalciferol is derived from lanolin in sheep’s wool and this also has milk. I can’t speak to the purity of any supplement and I won’t know the effectiveness of this one until I get a follow up blood test to see if my Vitamin D deficiency has improved, but this supplement seems excellent and I’ve been taking it daily with no side effects. Definitely recommend. 5 stars. Made in Los Angeles, CA.9/30/2020 Update: This works! I was prescribed a megadose of Vitamin D, but I couldn’t tolerate it. I consistently took this supplement instead, taking a dose recommended by my doctor. Recent test results confirm I’m back in the normal range.
