Being a bit vain he refuses to use the "old man" cane that we have. I found this and thought it might suit him well enough he will use it as ordered. He loved the way it looked but was not quite satisfied with the length. He took 1/2" off by removing the rubber cap and simply cutting it. Now is using it everywhere he goes and it gets him complements. While not "meant" for it he also likes the fact in a pinch he could use it to defend himself. It turns what would be an elegant cane into an advertisement? When I searched the reviews for "Is there writing on the cane," I got a "No, there is no writing on the cane." There is where it loses a star.
