The cover is soft leather and the little catch on the front finishes it off , making it look extra special. The only downside is the smell! I read previous reviews and they are all correct - I don’t know what it’s treated with but the smell is so strong I’ve had to keep it in a box with a cup of bicarbonate of soda (I’ve read that this helps remove odours). It’s been inside the box since it arrived 2 weeks ago and I think it’s slightly less smelly. Also the book is bound with leather laces which as you can see in the photo is already beginning to tear the paper a little. So you just need to be extra careful when writing in it and turning the pages. Despite all this I would still buy it because it is so gorgeous, you just need to get rid of that smell which would put me off buying it as a gift for someone. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing book, love it *by S***. on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 April 2021* Absolutely love this book! The plain paper is far better than lined, so I was very happy about that. It feels amazing to touch, very soft but durable. It does have a strong smell when you first open the packaging but that soon wears off after it has aired for a couple of hours. The craftsmanship of the stitching on the side is wrong.
