Pass through side pockets and bag type side pockets...which I like better than patch pockets because they can be turned inside out to eject debris. Materiel is a heavy 35% cotton and 65% synthetic...a good mix although I really like cotton more. I'm 6'2" tall with 32-34" inseam. I probably could have gone up a size or two because they are just a bit snugger around the middle than I'd prefer, but still work out.
