The overall support, in the arch, heel and ball, of this insole is better than any of the ones I’ve tried, and there have been many. But it lacks the cushion, softness, that I desire. It needs more cushion in the heel and at the toe area. Overall I would say it is worth the extra price. I did not expect much based on my previous experience with other orthotic brands, but these insoles are very comfortable. They are ideal fit for me. The arch support height fits my feet perfectly and they give good shock-absorption at the same time. I walk around 3.5 miles every day with my dog and I’ve always had issues with my feet, mainly under the heel or sometimes the back of my heels. I also have fallen arches, which doesn’t help. I bought very expensive walking shoes, you think they would help, but no. Also, I tried numerous insoles with little result. So, I’m thrilled with these insoles! In the beginning, my feet had to get used to them, but now I can’t walk without them. They are a good fit, I had to trim only about a quarter of an inch at the toe end to make the length perfect. They are very comfortable, my ankles don’t roll in with these insoles. They are very supportive and have eliminated my foot pain, which was mainly at the back of my heels.
