I have never had a 551 but from the picture the body looks exactly same. **Q: Is it made in USA? or else?** A: These devices have FDA and CE marks, so they can be used in any country that accepts these certifications. **Q: will this work with a television?** A: No, you need a pc. **Q: Is it possible to purchase only 3 mm earpiece speculas and is there smaller speculas e.g 2.5 mm speculas?** A: Yes we sell the 3mm in a pack of 576 for $104.85 on Amazon. We have tried several wireless variants but they always seem to have major drawbacks, such as low resolution, cheap construction, or complicated setup and wireless transmission apparatus. They typcially 3-5X what this firefly cost us. I was quite skeptical about how well this device would work, but I am quite impressed. The resolution on screen is great. The setup could not have been any simpler, and the windows drivers were very standardized which made it fully compatible with our patient management and database software. Gone are the days of analog to digital video capture cables and big bulky powered lighting. My only criticism is very minor, and that is that I wish it could use my normal specula. The ones that are included are not standardized or even compatible with other major brands of medical grade otoscopes.
