Review: Tenon cutter - Works great
Review: Great Tenon cutter - After searching for a while to find the 'tool that cuts the end of logs into dowels' for making log furniture I came across these at a local wood working shop. First they fantastic to use, although you HAVE to use a 1/2" chuck drill because anything smaller doesn't get the torque to get it working properly. Second the blades are removable and adjustable so they can be easily sharpened and kept in line with each other to get a smooth cut. The lines on the upper part of the tenon guide make cutting to a specifc length everytime very easy. Only con is getting the cut started on something that is pushing the outside of the cutting radius can be difficult, I found that hand starting the tenon makes it much easier. So far I've built some stools, a bedframe, and a stand to hand a sky chair from and these have been fantastic. I'm looking forward to many more years of projects with these bad boys. I highly recommend the blue Roman Carbide Forstner bits to cut the holes for these. The cheaper bits definately suffer and have a harder time cutting nice smooth holes of proper size.

**Q: What is the lenght of tenon (round) to the taper, sounds like the maximum is 2.25 inches?**
A: The TTR0750 is rated to produce a tenon up to 2 1/2 inches long.

**Q: Are the wood shavings off of this cutter similar to what one would buy for animal bedding?  Thanks.**
A: Chips for small animal bedding are usually from planer/jointer type tools. Tenon cutter produce a slightly coarser shaving that would be more like what would be found at a sawmill that uses a buzz saw type mill

**Q: What is the range of diameter of the complted tenon in the 3/4 inch cutter, it appears that the cutter can be adjusted quite a bit?**
A: you can get about 3/32 on either side of 3/4.

**Q: whats the max diameter of log will this work on?**
A: The TTR1500 can accept stock up to a 3" diameter.

After searching for a while to find the 'tool that cuts the end of logs into dowels' for making log furniture I came across these at a local wood working shop. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ SOLVED! - Couldn't install blades... (NOW I CAN!)

In theory, this tenon cutter was fantastic! In practice, however, I could not even install the blades as delivered. It came with screws that were too small for the corresponding holes in the body. When I tried to switch them for the proper screws, I found out that the holes in the blades were too small for the new screws. I was stuck! I contacted customer service, and they sent me new blades, and they fit! I guess it was just a minor mix-up. They solved the problem and I am happy as can be! It worked perfectly for my Maloof Rocker!
