I wake up 6-8 times a night. I consistently awake in the morning with stiff neck/shoulder and pain.Last night was my first night with this pillow. I slept through the whole night!! In fact, I just ordered another. AND I'm taking the time to write a review which is huge.The pillow is foam on the inside, but then covered with this strange blue gel. It does come in a zippered cover that is well made.When it arrived, the pillow was inserted backwards in its cover, so I had to take it out and turn it to access the hand pump. It is easy and quick to inflate by squeezing and remains inflated. The pump is small and soft and in no way can you feel it when using the pillow.Not only can you inflate the neck roll to your comfort level, but as you move in the night, the neck part "moves" with you. It really cradles your neck dynamically - and just feels delicious....there is no resistance or hard surface your spine is rubbing against. It changes shape as you rotate your head and continuously supports the motion.I am a huge fan and am now beginning to wonder what the mattresses this company sells are like!!!I'll update this later if the pillow loses it's form or function - remember this is only my first night with it - but so far - I feel like it's worth every penny. ### ⭐ Hard as a rock. *by @***H on January 29, 2016* I HATE writing bad reviews. This pillow was heavy and super hard. The form and the air chamber were great, but it was so hard! The gel did nothing to soften it and it was quite pointless being in there. It also had a chemical smell. So bummed. Sending it back. Sorry! ### ⭐⭐⭐ Good, but not enough support *by S***E on January 19, 2014* I really had high hopes for this pillow and liked to idea of adjustable cervical support. However, for me at least, this pillow is too soft and the neck roll does not inflate sufficiently to provide enough support. When it's fully inflated, the neck roll is higher in the middle and tapers off on both sides. I ended up replacing the adjustable cushion with a foam noodle roll, and that helped quite a bit, though it's not adjustable.
