Braided cotton rope by Kanirope - made in Germany from long, soft seed fibre from the cotton plant. Cotton ropes are very absorbent and can take in up to 30% of their weight in water. In addition, cotton readily absorbs dirt and oil, but is also capable of releasing it again. Cotton ropes are considered very gentle to the skin (they do not "scratch"), non-slip and have an extremely low allergy potential. Cotton ropes can be knotted very well and are easy to wash.Cotton ropes have a wide variety of uses. They are a very popular material for games, tying, wrapping, covering, knotting, weaving and crafts. Braided cotton cords are also often used in the field of design and fittings, for window decoration, labelling, ambient design, at trade fairs, stalls, in hotels, bars and discos.
