I bought it as a change of look for my SKX007 and yes it does ‘look’ great. However for only a few pounds more you can have a Barton Watch Bands strap that looks and feels like a much better made and higher quality strap. I have a Barton strap for my Orient Bambino.Let’s face it, if you’re after a strap for a watch you love (like me) then look elsewhere, this isn’t a confidence inspiring build and as such it defeats the purpose of securing your watch on your wrist.A couple of obvious points to bear in mind: the qr strap pins that secure the strap in the watch lugs are light weight and there is lots of play between them and the strap itself. There’s none with a Barton band, and the band and keepers are 100% leather rather than pleather.Which brings me to point two, the strap keepers here are vinyl – not leather; so while the match of plastic finish to leather band is acceptable when new, the strap will ‘age’ and the keepers won’t. This unfortunately undermines the first point I made about the good looks of this strap.As I said this isn’t an expensive strap and yes, I am super picky, but for around £4 more you can get a far superior strap, albeit one that will take a little ‘breaking-in’ to conform to your wrist. I hope you find this review useful in your search for a quality leather strap that will age well and be a confidence inspiring addition that adds pleasure to your watch wearing. Very stiff when you first wear it, though will soften and show signs of 'natural wear' in time. Mine is showing signs of aging already where the pin goes through the hole and the 'buckle??' goes across, though I don't see this as a negative as long as it doesn't crack through.Be aware, colour variation can be considerable from what you choose. If you see this as a positive and appreciate this makes it more individual and not as run-of-the-mill, you're on to a winner.I nearly replaced mine with the standard black material strap from the manufacturer...
