Simple assembly although the instructions were blurry, they could be a bit more comprehensive. The back is lower then you think. The seat cushion is firm and the back cushions are softer. I bought this with the intention that it would be a temp while I avoid spending 5k on the sofa I really want. I needed a long sofa and wanted this style and this fit the bill for a great price. I also received it within a week from order date. I put it together alone. The seat cushions are pretty firm, which I don’t mind. The back cushions are soft. The black is actually a charcoal color overall (the threads are black and grey).
