## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ They're perfect!
*by on Reviewed in the United States July 20, 2025*

Honestly I don’t understand people reviews about these not working. Out of the 7 seeds I got 6 are flourishing and growing nice. Tip, try to get the soil a bit acidic as they love acid soil and you won’t have any problems. They’re low maintenance and well… I’ll let you know as soon as I get fruits out of them :)

### ⭐ Not true lulo
*by on Reviewed in the United States May 25, 2026*

These seeds grew into solanum pseudolulo and not solanum quitoense. This is not as good of a fruit as true lulo. It's smaller and very seedy, but the flavor is good.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Recommended

I got the seed four or five months ago and about 50% germinated after about a month. The seed is small and takes a long time to get a big plant but eventually they take off. I've read naranjilla struggle after 85° F but I've seen no sign of problems in the hottest of ky summer in part shade. Growing them is very similar to a tomato or eggplant. I don't know what pH they do best at but they're doing fine in what i think is closer to neutral (70 % composted vegetation 30% sand and acid mineral soil a.k.a dirt). Note, this is the variety with thorns, but so far the thorns aren't very troublesome, not compared to blackberries anyway. I haven't gotten fruit yet but I'm confident i will if i can keep them alive through the winter.
