So here are the pro's and cons. 1) It's not a monkey 2) the strap comes out the bottom so no child strangulation. 3) the strap pulls back into the car so it's compact 4) He loves that it's a car and that there is a pocket just big enough for me to shove a kleenex or small snack in for him to find Cons 1) My kid is smallish - 18/24 months in clothing 2.5 in age so it isn't snug to him and kinda hangs on him loosely (not a deal breaker) 2) When we "need" it because he's pulling away and running every where he really really tugs on the thing. I'm noticing that the little plastic part that the leash comes out of/goes into is starting to pull through the hole. I think this type of wear is inevitable with a 2 year old tugging with their full body force and this plastic piece being inside of a plush toy car. So I'll fix it, but just be aware. It is the cutest thing though, and even when my son is pulling with all his might to escape, the end result is that he asks for the leash handle, not for me to take the car off. He actually loves wearing the thing. When going on walks around the neighborhood I've found that the leash is long enough that he can run around, but it keeps him out of the street as it seemed to be "just right.
