I bought a $10 monthly Tello SIM card and mounted this on a Pi to hide in my camper in case it ever drove away by itself.One of the first issues I ran into was that when you mount this on a Pi and it is not in range of a wifi network and since a Pi has no Real Time Clock (RTC) it will lose track of time badly. If you try to pull the time from the GPS then that messes with your ability to use the same serial port to have the GPS text its location, at least from the scripts I have been using.
