The grinding, brewing, and drinking were all enjoyable. The coffee is so fresh, and there's nothing like that aroma. This low acid coffee has all the flavor of any other brew. I've brewed all of them using my Chemex, standard pour-over, and French press setups. Across the board, these beans have been fresh, aromatic, and consistently better than anything store-bought.The Costa Rica Tarrazu has been my favorite so far - smooth, clean, and vibrant, with a nicely balanced citrus brightness and a touch of sweetness. It’s an easy 5/5 and one I could easily see as my daily brew.The Ethiopian Yirgacheffe stands out with its bright, fruity, and floral profile. It makes for a clean, complex cup that’s perfect when I want something a bit more lively and layered.The Bolivia Peaberry was rich and full-bodied, with a deeper, more nuanced flavor. I may have received an older bag, but it still tasted great. Whole beans, ground by hand with burr grinder and brewed in French Press. Volcanica has two of the most interesting and satisfying offerings. Their dark roast beans are oily in a good way, with a hearty earthy mocha taste. Winey finish. Their medium roast beans are dark but not oily. In the fresh grind you can smell toffee and other complex flavors--ginger, herbs, slight citrus and earthy. I drink a cup the brew with a teaspoon of or two of sugar, which for me delivers and very satisfying sip.
