Along the lines of books like 1984, Brave New World, Ray Bradbury's Invisible Man and Other Stories, etc, the series takes on a similar but different world--actually a set of worlds within one.To go on and on about it would be redundant. My only beef was that we didn't have the chance to get this boxed set with the most newly released book, Son (the final book in the series).Lowry is now our favorite author in this house, and we're excited to read more of her young adult works--even if these MAY be her true master works for now. Few authors have the compass and flexibility to create and explore these multiple worlds within a world.
