My old paddle was really expensive and I lost it as it did not have a paddle each. I bought a moderately priced replacement paddle and have this leash attached to it. It is sturdy and is not going to let the paddle get away from the kayak, but it is very inconvenient Lee uncomfortable and it’s placement on the paddle has resulted in chafing and Uncomfortable rubbing against my arms and legs when I am paddling.
