They hurt your ankles so make sure you have a good solid sturdy logger boot to use these with. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Not healthy *by T***N on Reviewed in the United States on November 22, 2021* I am a tree climber of regular tree climber's spikes including Gecko and Buckingham.I didn't get 2' off the ground while using these spikes as they tend to push your feet out away from the tree as your climbing. It's just the way it works out by default. If you think about it and you have these on your boot( You can not wear these spikes with just shoes), when you kick it into the tree it just automatically pushes your foot out away from the tree just a few inches but it's not good for your ankles at all! Regular tree spikes for tree climbers do the same thing they push your feet out and your knees out away from the tree as you're climbing again by default. But these little spikes just by the way they attach to only your feet are just not good. Professional tree spikes reach almost up to just under your knees. But these little spikes barely make it higher than the top of a hiking boot if at all above. Just not good for your feet, this is the bottom line. To add, the ones that I purchased I got them from Bass Pro Shops. I was so enthusiastic to get home put them on and try them. Once I did put them on and tried them I was extremely frustrated and disappointed As it was gonna take me at least an hour and 15 minutes of my time, to go back and return those things. So *you're welcome*, as I'm gonna save you the headache of buying those spikes for nothing and having to go back and return them taking your time and everything. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars but these are a great way to do get it done *by S***O on Reviewed in the United States on August 4, 2014* I'll tell you what, I've never used the professional version of these, but these are a great way to do get it done.
