The working width is 25cm and it is equipped with 4 knives. Ideal for turning over and preparing soil to a fine till, ready for planting. Improves soil nutrition, which helps plants root better, resulting in better crops and plants. Rotavating is best carried out in the spring or autumn when the ground is softer. It may be necessary to rotavate the planned area two or three times in different directions to break up the soil ready for planting. The support wasn't required but it was a good and reassuring touch from the supplier. The tiller has been excellent in the first ten hours of use over two days. I have a large allotment and have used the tiller to get the soil to a fine tilth ahead of planting. The tiller is rugged and has coped with the soil - the ground had been dug over already in the later part of winter, but it is of heavy type soil and recent dry weather had made the dug ground quite hard. Prior to tilling I had watered the surface. The results after tilling were pleasing. The machine is simple to use, has been rugged and so far, reliable in heavy usage. Assembly is required on receipt but not excessively...the instructions could be improved but a little study and review is all that is required. Plus the supplier had already offered support in email. The tiller is of Czech manufacture. A point of note is that this a tiller and not a rotavator.
