I ended up using only one per side and then the original clips, so new clip, swing swivel, old clip is how I applied them. It will give you more slack in the cable as well. So you may want to consider not using the clips. They are very smooth and quiet which was what I was looking for. I didn't want to have to exercise hearing noise. They are easy to install, and do add a bit weight to the cable. Overall I would recommend them. They are a bit pricey which took me a bit to consider buying but am happy with the results. No problems with rust or corrosion on the rotational device, however, the carabiners developed a bit of rust on the part where you screw them closed.
