Product arrived 2 days later in excellent condition. It consists of a spike and a spigot. THe spigot simply is pushed into the opening on the spike. A bottle of your choosing screws into the top of the spike once you fill with water. Then simply push the spike with attached bottle into soil near your plant and adjust the spigot for the rate at which you want water to drip. You do need to punch a couple holes in the bottom of the bottle to allow the air pressure to equalize and allow the water to flow. You can also cut the bottom off. I have only used one so far and deciding how to go forward. Holes in bottom or cut off bottom. Holes in the bottom create a difficulty when fillling the bottle as a lot of water escapes out the holes while you fill the bottle and screw on the spike. Cutting the bottom off would make for easier filling but if you live in a wooded area it would then also be open to tree debris falling. I live in a wooded area and have not yet decided which direction I want to go regarding the bottle bottom. But it works well, easy to adjust. ### ⭐ Terrible *by S***R on Reviewed in the United States on August 2, 2019* These were extremely difficult to put together. A majority of them would not go together at all. When screwed onto a water bottle and put into a planter, they leaked out within a matter of seconds. These are supposed to allow for multiple days without having to water plants and I was unable to leave my plants for even one day.
