This is more of a hands on globe to be used as it's function, a globe. We love the coloring and raised mountainous areas. The lettering is average or small. So if you have very poor eye sight you might not want this globe. That's the only negative description I have for it. Nice USA company for globes and we do not find the errors that seem so prevalent on a lot of the cheap foreign made globes these days. I love the detail and the accuracy for our home school applications in geography. The only downside, and it's unfortunately enough to dock this one star in my opinion, is that my husband and I both did not like the bump in the middle of the globe where the northern and southern hemispheres are put together in assembly.
