**Q: I want to make sure that these are indeed labeled on 3 sides with decimals, percents, and fractions.  Can you confirm this please?**

**Q: Is the marking printed on all faces or just one?**
A: It is on three sides, one side is percentage, one decimal, one fraction.

**Q: Does this come with an activity book?  (I do not have a teaching background and wouldn't know how to introduce/teach this).**
A: I'm sorry, but I don't remember if it came with an activity book.  Whether it came with one or not, you can show your kids a "tower" with two 1/4 cubes and ask them how many 1/10 cubes they would need to build a tower of equal height...Then ask them how many 1/2 cubes they would need.  Then have them build their own tower and "test' you.  Make it fun.  They will start to see the correlation.

**Q: Does it come with the stand to pop the pieces into?**
A: No, it's just the pieces.

These are an essential learning tool for any 4th or 5th grader, and for some 3rd and 6th graders, too. I have been an educator my whole career, and I specialize in preparing children for the ISEE/SSAT and/or other standardized exams at this level. I also work with children to support their regular academic work, whether it's common core or a different curriculum. Any 4th or 5th grader is working with fractions and decimals, and these are perfect for helping them make real sense of the concepts. I often start by handing a student the 1/2 cube, and then asking the student to find me as many other examples of fractions that are equivalent. The student will line up the various pieces and show me 2/4, 3/6, 4/8, 5/10, and 6/12. Then we will talk about what it might be if we had fraction cubes of 14ths or 20ths to show that any fraction equivalent to 1/2 has the relationship of the numerator being half the denominator. When adding and subtracting mixed numbers, and when converting mixed numbers and improper fractions, it's really helpful to have 2 sets of these, so you can show numbers that go above 1. Kids like handling the cubes, as they are colorful and interlocking, and even when they are just "playing" with them, they are likely still learning. A thorough understanding of fractions and decimals is so critical to learning percentages and other harder concepts in 6th grade, and these cubes are perfect for securing these foundational topics.
